Universal Studios Trip - HHN Audition
July 21, 2009

Well, today was the day I went to audition for Halloween Horror Nights. Short and sweet, I didn't get cast. I didn't totally have my hopes up, but I think it would have been fun to work the event. But that wasn't the main story for today's visit. While leaving the park today, we (Kelly and I) smelled smoke and heard sirens. As we were approaching the parking garage, the sirens got louder and we started seeing smoke. The next thing we saw was security blocking us from the garage. We peaked over the edge and saw the smoke coming from the parking garage's second floor? Luckily we parked on the 4th. In any case it resulted in a 45 minute wait. First thing I did, pulled out the G1 and video'd. Then I called WESH NBC to report the fire, they apparently already knew about it and explained to me that it was a SUV on fire. I then took some pictures.
It made for an interesting visit, but I was pretty tired at that point and ready to go home.

Universal Studios has finally updated the Halloween Horror Nights webpage with a link to the Universal Palace Theater. It appears to be the background story for this years event. It also looks like it could easily incorportate a legendary truth type investigation. Construction has already begun on the houses.

House Names/Themes Unconfirmed

Much like last year, I was the first on the scene with any legitimate information to be posted about Universal Studio's Halloween Horror Nights. This year, Universal has tried to pull a fast one and redact the names of the houses from the City of Orlando's permitting website and spread viral rumors of a silver scream theme (that may still be true though). One thing I do know - they were successful from keeping the names online, but were unsuccessful from keeping them away from me ;-)
Here are the code names/concepts for the houses at Halloween Horror Nights 19 - Universal Studios, Orlando FL as of May 18th, 2009. I will be releasing one name per day.

Never knew how to say goodbye to your middle school? If I could do it again, I'd probably do the same thing. No one saw this coming. Shout out to my brother graduating from middle school.
